Full Motion Video

Question: I'd like to play full motion video with a resolution of 640 by 480 (full screen) in the title I'm developing. Can Indeo® video handle this?
Currently, motion video at 640 by 480 can be captured only with specialized (and more expensive) capture cards than the ISVR III; usually, those same cards are required in order to play the video back. The advantage of using Indeo® video is that no special video hardware is required for playback. Using the Intel Smart Video Recorder III, Indeo video can be captured only at one or two frames per second, at 640 by 480. However, most high-end capture cards can capture at 640 by 480, thirty frames per second, into a motion JPEG format which can then be recompressed using Indeo video. An effective alternative to capturing at 640 by 480 is capturing at 320 by 240 and then playing back using Indeo video's zoom-by-two feature.
